When the Queen's Commerce Mental Health Association asked if I wanted to run a fitness class for them, of course I said YES!

I was so excited to run this event because of everything QCMHA stands for. They promote good mental health in the Queen's Commerce program and I have had have already had a massive impact on opening up the conversation around mental illness. I have had the pleasure of watching this team start from my peers' idea, to a motion at ComSoc Assembly, to an exec team of over 30 people that touches the lives of hundreds of Commerce students.

In general, I am so lucky to be part of a program and community that values taking care of student mental health, advocates constantly for us, and has resources like Brief Absence Forms and dedicated counsellors to help us through the stress of university. It is so, so, so important to take care of your mental health.

As I've said before, one of the best ways to do this is exercise! It helps you de-stress and creates endorphins, which make you happier instantly. Speaking of exercise...

Last night, we did a bootcamp-style HIIT workout. We maxed out the capacity of the studio with 38 people and had SO much fun sweating it out in alternating agility and strength circuits. I won't give away the whole workout, but I think this DM I received speaks for itself.

Check out the recap video below and stay tuned for my next Community Class on December 1!

Go sweat today!

xoxo,

Jess

PS. If you're interested in planning an event with me and your club/team/company, please get in touch! I am always looking for more ways to spread the fitness love!
