So many events! This week, I partnered with jack.org Queen's Chapter to run a Fitness Fundraiser, and it was... well, FUN!

My Fitness Parties are different than regular classes - and by different, I mean better. We dance, we karaoke, and we sweat. We have the disco light going and the music blaring. It's like going to a club, except better because you wake up feeling great the next day.

I was so excited to partner with jack.org Queen's Chapter to run this event because because physical health and mental health are inherently linked. Jack.org is a charity and movement that advocates for mental health for everyone.

The Queen's Chapter runs lots of different events to raise awareness about self-care and prioritizing your mental health. For this event, half of the proceeds from went to the overall organization, and the other half will directly support their Summit this Winter. To learn more about what they do or get involved at Queen's, check out their AMS page here.

Working with them was such an amazing experience and opportunity to give to our school community. I am so passionate about their work because it matters! For a long time, I felt like I wasn't qualified to talk about Mental Health because I haven't experienced and "serious issues", and I focused mainly on physical health.

They have taught me that you don't have to have experienced mental health issues to be an advocate or to promote it. Good mental health and self-care is for everyone!

In fact, one proven way to boost your mental health is physical activity. When you sweat it out, you are taking care of your body and your mind at the same time. And when you add in tracks by the Jonas Brothers and V.I.C.? Now you're having fun too!

If you want to see what you missed, check out the recap video below. Intrigued? You'll have to come next time to get the full experience! This is just a little taste...

xoxo,

Jess
